The book I'm currently reading is The Giver by Lois Lowry. This book is about Jonas, a 12-year old boy who is chosen to be the new Receiver of Memory. He meets the Giver which is the old Receiver of Memory. The Giver gives Jonas memories that only he and Jonas may know about. The rest of their community can't know the memories that they The Receiver of Memory has.
During this book Jonas finds out the reason why those memories are to not be known by their community. His assignment is very different from others, other children got to be Engineers, or be Nurturers. Jonas at first was proud of himself of being the new Receiver of Memory, but he also felt scared of what would happen to him. The Giver notices this and reveals the truth about being the Receiver of Memory and what those memories hold/show.

Blog 6: Mood
The book I'm currently reading is "The Giver" by Lois Lowry. It's about a 12-year old boy who is selected to become The Receiver of Memories. Which is a person who receives memories from the old Receiver of Memory, he passes on the memories to another so he'll keep them safe. My mood to this book is exciting/positive, because it's cool that you get receive memories of everything. The bad thing is that you can't tell anyone about the memories, it's only in between the old Receiver of Memory and the new Receiver of Memory. My mood then changes real fast, I question myself why wouldn't they want to tell anyone? Are the memories bad? Can something horrible happen if everyone knows about all the memories? Yet, I have to keep reading and looking far more into the book.

Blog 5: Mood
The book I'm currently reading is The Giver by Lois Lowry, and it's basically about a 12 year old boy named Jonas. He gets selected and inherits the position of being a Receiver of Memory. There is only one Receiver of Memory which is an elder. Nobody else knows about this besides Jonas and the elder. Some emotions that I get to reading this book are exciting and surprising emotions. Why? Well in a part of my book Jonas finds out what the Receiver of Memory is, which is receiving memories of the works, and mostly all of those memories nobody knows about except for The Giver (the elder). He receives them by the elder putting his hands on Jonas' back concentrating giving him a memory of all sorts and Jonas can experience them, which is exciting. Like, imagine being able to receive memories and experience them as you don't know what they are, that's pretty cool in my opinion.

Blog 4: Summary
My book, "Wake" is about a girl named Janie who can see and be inside other people's dreams. She can only see them if that person is sleeping near her. She started getting into people's dreams at age 7, and she hasn't found out if it's a curse of some sort. Now, Janie is 17 years old and she's in her last year of highs school. Carrie is Janie's best friend, Janie hasn't told her about her "curse". The only person who knows is Cabel, her boyfriend. Janie works in a nursing home for elders, and that where she found out something incredible. Miss Stubin, one of the elders she took care of was also a "dream-catcher" (being in people's dreams). Janie was shocked and had questions but before she found out, Miss Stubin passed away but left her a note saying "Dear Janie, Thank you for my dreams. From one catcher to another, Martha Stubin P.S You have more power than you think." Janie did get into Miss Stubin's dreams but she didn't really get the last part of the letter. So far in the book, Janie finds out she can change people's dreams. She starts practicing using Cabel's dreams and she did have more power than what she thought.

Blog 3: Foreshadowing
I'm half way across reading my book, where all the good information gets to be known. So as I said before, Janie can see and be in people's dreams. Right now, Janie might have feelings for a boy named Cabel. Every time she dreams about him, he is shown as a bad person. Cable dreams romantic sappy dreams about Janie. Some hints in my book that will tell me what will happen later on is the connection with Janie and Cabel. Yeah, they both like each other and might even start a relationship. But there's also something in between them that isn't going to be right. Like I said, Janie dreams him as a bad person, so what if he is? What if Cabel isn't really the good guy Janie sees everyday? This might tell me Cabel and Janie are gonna have a few problems in their friendship or even relationship.

Blog 2: Exposition
In my book there's this girl who can see and be in people's dreams, as long as she's with them. The girl's name is Janie, and she's a 17-year old Senior. Her parents died, so she lives with her best friend Carrie. So far, Janie works in an elders home. Janie has been able to see people's dream ever since she was a child. it's some sort of curse but it hasn't been explained yet in the book. Janie isn't very rich, so she doesn't have nice clothes like Carrie or any other girl in the school. Janie has seen very weird dreams, like she has seen her friend Carrie dream about her future with Stu (her boyfriend). Also since she works at an elders home, one of the lady she helps has dreamed about dying and leaving the world.

Blog 1: Information About My Book
I am currently reading "Wake" by Lisa McMann. This book is about a 17-year old girl named Janie, all her life she's had the ability to get into people's dreams. She hates it, she doesn't like knowing what other people dream because first of all it's not her business, and second of all some people's dreams are weird. That person has to be with her in order for her to see and know what they are dreaming. As she gets older she experiences it more since students fall asleep during class, and her college roommate are in the same dorm as her. At first I didn't really understand the book because her point of view changed a lot, but as I read the next 4 chapters I understood it better. I've never read this book in my life, and I checked it out because one of my friends recommended it. What I'm glad to hear is that there are 2 more books that continue a trilogy after this one.
